“telling people to die in gas chambers isnt cool” has got to be the most understated tag I have ever seen on this site. But anyway SIGNAL BOOSThttp://rynvera.tumblr.com/ has now told someone to “go die in a gas chamber.” This, in my opinion, is grounds for mass emails to tumblr to tell them this young woman needs to go.
If you would like to report her, I have made it easy.

DETROIT – On the night of a motion hearing in the case of Detroit police officer Joseph Weekley, who shot seven-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones to death two years ago during a violent raid, police in riot gear again invaded her family’s new home on Detroit’s side.
Family members said they were struck, shoved and called racist and sexist names by the officers, some of them in plainclothes, before the officers forced their way into the home.
Five children were there at the time, including a one-month old baby, a two-year-old toddler, and a five-year old.
“I was just sitting here watching my grandson,” Mertilla Jones, Aiyana’s paternal grandmother said. “Four cop cars pulled up and then they were coming from all over. They tried to grab Bobbie (Aiyana’s cousin), but he came in the house and me and Lakiya and R. J. [Rafael Jones] went out on the porch. The Black cop hit me in the mouth with a flashlight, and pushed and shoved me.”
Bobbie Williams III said he had been outside sitting next to a small fire the family has been burning on the sidewalk to keep the mosquitoes away for some weeks. He said police officers had driven by before and said nothing. But this time, he said, one of the cops told him to put the fire out, saying, “What are you n—–s doing, trying to burn down the city?”
Bobbie said he complied and doused the fire with water but a white cop jumped out, calling to his sergeant to follow him, and pursued him anyway. Bobbie warned them he had a permit to carry a concealed weapon for self-defense, then retreated into the house.
Jones’ 14-year-old grandson Rafael went to the defense of his grandmother, he said.
“They hit my grandma in the mouth and the white cop called her a whore and slut, and when I said something to him, he tried to grab me off the porch, and he called me a little shit and a bastard.”
Rafael demonstrated exactly where he and his grandmother were standing on the porch. He said he was on the right of the steps while his grandmother was on the left (facing the house), when he went to her defense.
Meanwhile, Jones’ daughter LaKrystal Sanders videotaped the events on her camera.
“I told them one of you cops just went to court today because he murdered my niece,” Sanders said. “I screamed that Aiyana Jones was murdered by the cops. I told them you better call your lawyers, because I’m recording you all. I told them I want your badge numbers after they hit my mother with the flashlight. They started backing off then.”
She said the cops were “pulling on their guns” as if they were about to shoot. She said the family was especially concerned about Bobbie and other young Black males in the house.
Family members said a white female officer who knows the family finally told the cops to leave after at least ten minutes of terror, but the cops still kept shining lights into their faces and into the house, blinding them.
“The cops have known where we lived ever since we moved here,” Jones said. “They drive by here all the time shining their lights into the house.”
Family members said the officers were in blue-and-white marked cars, some of them in plainclothes and some in uniform. They said they appeared to be from the gang squad in the seventh precinct, riding four to a car.
Jones said she had just been the hospital a couple of days before. The incident happened on the anniversary of her sister JoAnn Robinson’s death. Robinson was present in the room on May 16, 2010, when the Detroit Police Special Response team, being filmed by A&E’s First 48 show, threw an incendiary grenade into the house and then shot Aiyana in the head.
Her health had declined since that time.
Voice of Detroit contacted Mayor Dave Bing’s chief of communications Naomi Patton, who said she would “try” to get back with a response from his office. A message was left with the Police Department communications office for Chief of Police Ralph Godbee’s spokesperson Eren Stephens. No response from either has been received as yet.
Family members said neither Bing nor Godbee has ever apologized to them in person for Aiyana’s death.

and, gurl, it did not go well. She said that she has stopped saying the n word(and bragged that her friend has a timer on his phone to count how long it’s been since she last said it[gag]), although she said it a handful of times during the meeting. She said, at least three times, “I apologize if I hurt your feelings,” but refused to apologize publicly or issue a statement.
During the conversation I was so nice that I wanted to fucking slap myself. I told her that a white person dressing up like a nazi and shouting racist slurs in a room full of white people isn’t shocking or transgressive(y’all, that’s just what nazis do). I told her that I believe she can actually be transgressive and challenge oppression from her position. For a second I believed that she wasn’t a monster, just a foolish person with tons of unchecked racism and privilege. She informed us that we’d have to agree to disagree about whether or not her actions are problematic, and that she wouldn’t apologize publicly because she’s “a clown.”
We’re done begging for scraps of community. We’re calling for a national protest of Sharon Needles and the clubs who host her. We’ve created a tumblr for the purposes of organizing these protests.
Hey, white tumblr queers! Remember that time you reblogged our announcement about the protest in Atlanta and said, “Aw, shucks! Too far!” Well, she’s likely coming to your town so you need to get your shit together and join us.
Follow Hell No, Sharon Needles for updates!
Also, here’s an article about today’s conversation.

Protest Sharon Needles’ Racist Actions - Wednesday (6/27) @ Jungle Club Atlanta
Sharon Needles has some shit she needs to work on. For receipts, see grrylman’s post here.
And lucky for us, she’ll be at the Jungle Club in Atlanta, Georgia this Wednesday (6/27). Let’s all get together for a lovely time of protest and dissent over the ridiculous racist behavior of Sharon Needles.
Our plan is to assemble outside of the Jungle with signs, badges, and other militant items of fabulousness.
We will then join the line and move through informing people of Sharon’s racist statements and actions. Keep it peaceful, keep it simple, keep it classy.
Some of the attendees are going to be very angry with us. We have to know this before going. This demonstration is not violent, and we are asking that all demonstrators please refrain from engaging with anyone who wants to argue. We’re only demonstrating to speak the truth.
In other words: if someone tries to throw shade your way you just do you gurl.
When we’re done, we’ll move over to The Heretic for .25 cent beer night. Protest will start promptly at 9:00pm and go until 10:00pm.
Invite your friends!
For an invite to the Facebook event, send an ask to grrlyman or glitterlion. Be sure to include your facebook info.

National Organization for Marriage is a vile, monstrous hate group.
Their actual plan is to encourage self-segregation as a way of ghettoizing people of color and encouraging POC to focus their frustrations on gays, which will also ensure that POC remain the focus of discussions of cultural homophobia.
One doesn’t need to tease out intersections of oppression or divide and conquer strategies. They are out in the open.
From documents obtained from the National Organization for Marriage (‘cept the gayz obvi):
“The strategic goal of this project is to drive a wedge between gays and blacks—two key Democratic constituencies. Find, equip, energize and connect African American spokespeople for marriage, develop a media campaign around their objections to gay marriage as a civil right; provoke the gay marriage base into responding by denouncing these spokesmen and women as bigots…”
“The Latino vote in America is a key swing vote, and will be so even more so in the future, both because of demographic growth and inherent uncertainty: Will the process of assimilation to the dominant Anglo culture lead Hispanics to abandon traditional family values? We must interrupt this process of assimilation by making support for marriage a key badge of Latino identity - a symbol of resistance to inappropriate assimilation.”
Wow. JUST. Wow.

You’re an asshole.
A bigot and an asshole.
You and your white hipster ass can fuck off.
Seriously.
What the hell is wrong with people? The word gypsy is racist, your comment was racist. You are racist.
WHY is it so hard for people to understand that:
- Gypsies are real people. The word applies to a group of ethnicities and it is pejorative and racist.
- If you use the word and are called out on it, don’t blame US the people who find the word offensive since, you know, it’s been used against us for hundreds of years.
- If you live in Europe the word is racist. If you live in the US the word is racist. The meaning has not and cannot change. White people don’t get to decide for us.
I am so tired of dealing with this every day.
Why is it SO FUCKING HARD for you white hipster kids to UNDERSTAND that it’s not your word, it’s not your right, and intentions don’t matter???
Really? Fuck you.

Take a minute to pull your heads out of your shit encrusted asses and take a look at this damn blog! It’s fucking dedicated to harassing, belittling, and disrespecting people of color. The owner of this blog takes joy in going to other PoC’s blogs and harassing them.
Are you really going to look the other way? Do the PoC who use this site matter to you? Do you even know or care that we exist? Do you even care about our health and well being? If you want to show us that you care, you could start by taking this asshole’s blog down.
Sincerely,
A PoC Who is sick and motherfucking tired of being treated like a different fucking species.

Post reblogged from Racism 101: Are you a Racist? with 521 notes
This statement derails and belittles the conversation so that you may shout your good ally status.
You are not a good ally.
Why are you feeling like you need to defend white people? I am being completely serious with that question. When a person of color talks about something that is being done/has been done to oppress them and uses the words “White people,” why do you feel the need to say “Not all white people?” We know. Do you think we don’t know? Lets say you DO think we don’t know, now what? You’ve said that its not “all of you”. Okay but the experience the person had, the feelings the person is feeling, are they not valid now that you announced that not all white people do it and IMMEDIATELY start to talk about YOU?
Oh you didn’t think we noticed that did you? You see this is the REAL problem with “Not all white people” you are saying “NOT ME” and not only do I want to point out “NOT ME” but I want praise for it “NOT BEING ME.” I will give you proof that “NOT ME” and I will derail the entire conversation, entire argument, the entire point of your post to tell you how not racist I am. If you don’t back up and STOP YOUR ORIGINAL DISCUSSION to tell me that you know that “NOT ALL WHITE PEOPLE” then I will be an upset and highly offended white person. Then, likely call racism.
Which leads to the second problem. You being offended that someone doesn’t stop to re-step with “Not all white people” is not MORE offensive than the oppressive conversation. It is not about you. Stop making it about you. Your feelings are hurt because someone is talking about oppression and you want to STOP THEM FROM TALKING to remind them that “Not you?”
This is not about you. Stop making it about you.
Something tells me that my words are to intricate for some of you to understand. I am going to explain this in the simplest way I can.
White person says about black people- “Black people are lazy” «Racist. Even if you clarify your statement and say “Not all black people.” It’s racist and the clarification makes no difference.
Black person says- “White people are oppressive.” «Not racist. A statement of fact. The generalization is the same. As in, if said black person were MADE to clarify with “Not all white people” it makes no difference. Also, it does two other things: 1-Interrupts the conversation to make it about YOU and not the oppressed. 2-Makes the conversation about oppression LESS IMPORTANT than your NEED for people to know “Not you.”
Your ally cry is anti-ally.
I hate when people compare one group’s struggle to another group so I am going to make this more personal. Because I have had this exact conversation in real life, I am going to give you one last example of what you are doing when you stop the conversation to say “Not all white people.”
Me: Someone driving a blue Toyota just hit and killed my four year old child.
You: I drive a blue Toyota. Not everyone who drives a blue Toyota hits four year old children.
I am just gonna leave that here for you to digest.
